2017 International Conference on Materials Sciences and Nanomaterials cover areas within material science and focusing on synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, futuristic applications of nanotechnology, manufacturing, processing of materials and related nanomaterial topics.
While metallic nanoparticles are being used increasingly in several areas, the environmental effect of nanoparticle production process is another increasing matter of concern. This is because of using potentially environmentally harmful chemical and physical methods for nanoparticle synthesis.
On the other hand, biological “green” synthesis method is coming to the forefront as an alternative way to the traditional ones as being effective, cheap and ecological in recent years. Biological synthesis method can be made by plant, algae, fungi or even human tissues. By this way, the metal ions are converted to the metal nanoparticles by the reductive protein or metabolic materials existing in the living organism.
In the synthesis of nanoparticles, the experimental studies show that plants are much more successful. It is known that the plants can make metal ions reduction at their several parts such as stem surface and used for mining process at the places where is steep because of this property long time ago. The interesting part of this information is the form of metals. They are existing at the nano size in the plant. This habit of plants has been used for technological processes as an important development in recent years.

The antibacterial effect of silver has been known for a long time ago. Nano size of silver is million times smaller and has increasing antibacterial properties due to its smaller size.
Viruses and bacteria are gaining new defense mechanisms in antibiotic treatment, therefore, antibiotics are the ineffective treatment of illnesses. In the case of nano silver; the form of virus or bacteria breaks down. By this way, there is no chance of getting any defense.
Nanosilver is a strong disinfectant, antivirus, antifungal, antimicrobial and it is widely used in many areas such as health in medicines, medical care products, equipment sterilization. It is used alone or combined with other antimicrobial materials. Experimental studies also show that it is effective at carcinogenic treatment.
